Tidying up the closet can become an onerous task if you leave your clothes to tidy up themselves. How do I know? Oh well, my clothes don’t fold and neatly stack themselves in my closet.
Finally, I had enough of the growing mountain of clean clothes piled up in one of my tub chairs and decided to be adult and shipshape the closet. As ironic as it may sound, I hate to admit I enjoy tidying up. I love the natural high the feeling of accomplishment gives in the end!
Yes, I soldiered on until the last piece of clothing is put to its rightful place. To my surprise, my socks were left on their own little mound. I had one question in mind: How can I neatly store my socks such that the tidiness can be maintained over time?
Years ago, one of my High School best friends taught me a technique to fold undies. She’s a neat freak, you guessed right I’m not. But I love to learn new things that simplify life. So I folded my undies as I was taught from then on. I can neatly store my undies in my drawer and the tidiness is still maintained over time. I wonder if there is such a technique for socks?
This is a job for… YouTube!
So, I found the perfect instructions on how to fold socks. The best part? I got introduced to organising the KonMari way!
I did some more tutorials and got my closet redone. I am loving tidying up my closet the KonMari way that I watched tonnes of YouTube videos about what she preaches. From closet to my kitchen, down to my documents, I organised the KonMari way.
But then I forgot maintenance is equally important. After a while, the clutter piles up again and the cycle of organising my starts again.
